Grilled Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce

Grilled Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce

Ingredients:

  • For the salmon:

    • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil or ghee
    • 1 teaspoon sea salt
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • For the lemon butter sauce:

    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • Juice of 1 lemon
    • Zest of 1 lemon
    • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Salmon: 1.1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. 1.2. Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil or ghee on both sides. 1.3. Season the salmon fillets with sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. Grill the Salmon: 2.1. Place the salmon fillets on the preheated grill, skin side down if they have skin. 2.2. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked to your desired level of doneness and flakes easily with a fork. 2.3. Remove the salmon from the grill and set aside.

  3. Make the Lemon Butter Sauce: 3.1. While the salmon is grilling, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. 3.2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. 3.3. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, sea salt, and black pepper. 3.4. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh parsley.

  4. Serve: 4.1. Place the grilled salmon fillets on serving plates. 4.2. Spoon the lemon butter sauce over the salmon fillets. 4.3. Garnish with additional lemon zest and parsley if desired.

Tips:

  • For an extra flavor boost, you can marinate the salmon fillets in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic for 30 minutes before grilling.
  • Serve with a side of sautéed greens or roasted vegetables for added nutrients if you include some plant-based foods in your diet.
  • You can also sprinkle some capers on top for a tangy, briny addition.

Enjoy your grilled salmon with lemon butter sauce, a delicious and healthy meal perfect for a carnivore diet!
